Produced by Rohit Raj and Bhuvan Bam under BB Ki Vines Productions and directed by Himank Gaur, the series features Jaaved Jaaferi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Prathamesh Parab, Deven Bhojani, and Shilpa Shukla. In this season, Vasya’s destiny and boon face a challenge from the formidable Yusuf Akhtar, putting his life and those of his loved ones at risk. For Jaaved Jaaferi, who plays the villain Yusuf in Disney+ Hotstar’s Taaza Khabar 2, it was Bhuvan’s maturity and understanding of the entertainment industry that stood out. Jaaved Jaaferi discussed the qualities that made a strong impression on him during their collaboration.
Talking about Bhuvan Bam, Jaaved Jaaferi said, “Collaborating with Bhuvan Bam has been a fantastic experience. Initially, I wasn’t familiar with short video content, but I heard about Bhuvan’s popularity and decided to check out his work. It’s impressive how he has tapped into a new form of entertainment that didn’t exist in my time. I found him to be very warm and respectful. Our first in-person meeting was at an awards show where I was presenting an award. Later, when the director felt I could fit the role of Yusuf, Bhuvan and I discussed it, and I was struck by his maturity and understanding of the business. He has managed to carve out a significant niche in the industry, which speaks volumes about his ability to resonate with people and stay relevant.”
Taaza Khabar Season 2 is set to deliver a blend of comedy and the pursuit of money and fame, with its release on Disney+ Hotstar beginning September 27, 2024.
