BMW Group India has introduced the Retail.NEXT concept to India, with the first facility present at Bird Automotive, Gurugram. This essentially brings a complete redesign of the dealer facility, and will be implemented across 56 facilities in 33 cities over 36 months.
Commenting on the launch of Retail.NEXT, BMW Group India, President and CEO, Vikram Pawah, said, ” With the introduction of Retail.NEXT, we aren’t just elevating experiences; we are transforming them. Every visit to a BMW dealership is more than just a step into a unique world; it’s an immersion into a space where modernity, progress, and true luxury converge seamlessly. Retail.NEXT dealerships are designed to revolutionize customer engagement by integrating ‘phygital’ innovations, where the physical meets the digital in environments that are as aesthetically stunning as they are forward-thinking. This initiative marks the beginning of a countrywide roll-out as we expand our vision of an immersive luxury experience in India. We greatly appreciate our dealer partners for their unwavering dedication towards BMW Group and significant investment spanning over the period of 3 years for implementing Retail.NEXT in India.”
The Retail.NEXT showrooms are a fully overhauled showroom concept, which have a seamless experience for customers visiting the facility. Not only does the concept alleviate the car buying experience, but makes it more luxurious and comfortable. These facilities also serve as the merging centres for the three BMW Group India brands – BMW, Mini and BMW Motorrad.
The design of the Retail.NEXT showrooms incorporate exclusive areas for private consultations and vehicle handovers, adding extra personal touch to each customer interaction. Alongside the ICE vehicles, the show floor also displays the ‘i’ range of electric cars, often right next to their ICE variants, helping the customer discern between them in a very helpful space. Even the BMW Premium Selection (BPS) Pre-owned cars are showcased alongside the new cars on the same floor.
There is also the BMW Bar & Lounge which offer a very relaxing area to rest and rejuvenate, especially when they plug in their EV for a charge at the DC fast charger located at the Retail.NEXT showrooms.
BMW Group India has made an investment of Rs 365.5 cores to establish 56 Retail.NEXT facilities in 33 cities across India, which will be done in over 36 months.
