Amitabh Bachchan, who is one of the most loved hosts of the country, has been a part of Kaun Banega Crorepati for decades now. Hosting the sixteenth season of the show, Big B continues to share interesting stories and anecdotes from his life with the contestants in order to ensure that they are comfortable, and in one such candid moment, the megastar went on to reveal an interesting incident with his grandkids wherein the latter ended up trolling him and his recent release Kalki 2898 AD.
KBC 16: Amitabh Bachchan reveals how his grandkids trolled him; says, “They said they didn’t understand Kalki 2898 AD”
In the recent episode, ardent viewers of KBC 16 saw Trishul Singh Choudhary taking the hotseat and they also witnessed Amitabh Bachchan being a compassionate host, making a few alternations to the game to help Trishul play the reality quiz show despite his restrictions. While having a candid conversation with Trishul, Big B reminisced about a recent outing with his grandchildren.
He shared how they took him to see a Hollywood sci-fi movie, a genre he struggles to grasp fully. Although his grandchildren enjoyed the film, AB admitted he didn’t quite understand it. When he told them about it, they had a humorous comeback for him. They replied, “Even we didn’t understand Kalki”. While this left everyone around in splits including Trishul, the latter also went on to assert his liking towards the movie Kalki 2898 AD and also appreciated the character of Ashwatthama played by Amitabh Bachchan.
Apart from that, in another light-hearted moment from the show, Trishul and Big B had interesting banter on bean bags wherein the contestant asked the megastar about his opinion on bean bag chairs. Replying to him, Amitabh Bachchan chuckled and said that he has never sat one because bean bags aren’t meant for older people, even though it’s comfortable. Trishul, however, shared a playful response and added, “But you’re only 40 or 45 years old!”. A comment that definitely made our megastar smile!
Meanwhile, coming to Kalki 2898 AD, the film received a lot of love from the audience for its mythological backdrop. Also starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and others in key roles, the film was directed by Nag Ashwin.
