AUSTIN (KXAN) — After receiving several complaints from the community, the Austin Police Department said it will focus on targeting speeding and aggressive driving in northwest Austin, the agency said in a news release Monday.
This enforcement will be “in effect until further notice” and will “focus in the area of Ranch Road 2222 between MoPac and Expressway and 360,” police said in the release.
“The operation is an effort to maintain public safety after the Department received multiple complaints from neighbors in the area regarding motorcyclists speeding and engaging in other reckless driving,” the release said.
KXAN also received several ReportIts about complaints from viewers living in the area of RR 2222.
“Please keep our community safe for all our roadway users, look twice for motorcycles, and click it or ticket,” APD said.
