Road rage suspects in custody after gunshots, drivers ramming vehicles near Boise – MASHAHER

A road rage incident west of Boise ended in gunshots and car-ramming Tuesday.

Multiple people called Nampa Dispatch just before 11 a.m. to report that “two vehicles were intentionally crashing into each other and that shots were fired” on Midland Boulevard between Roosevelt and Lake Lowell avenues near the Dallan Woods subdivision in Nampa, the Nampa Police Department said in a news release.

Officers closed part of Midland for nearly an hour while they took the drivers into custody, according to the department.

An investigation confirmed the 911 reports. Police said they determined both drivers “deliberately ran their vehicles into the other,” and one driver fired a handgun at the other.

No one was injured by either the gunfire or crashing, police said.

One suspect, a 59-year-old man from Nampa, was charged with felony aggravated assault, felony firearm possession by a convicted felon and a misdemeanor for firing a gun within city limits.

The other, a 52-year-old Grangeville man, was charged with felony aggravated assault and a misdemeanor for possession of a controlled substance.

The incident comes on the heels of a Boise road rage incident last week, when a suspect fired gunshots at a vehicle on West Overland Road, according to Boise police.

Nampa asked any witnesses who haven’t spoken to law enforcement to leave a voicemail at 208-468-5509 and reference case number N24-53828. If witnesses want to remain anonymous, they can contact Crime Stoppers at 208-343-2677 or through its website or mobile app.
