Anna Torv, Michael Dorman-Starring Series Unveils Trailer – MASHAHER

“Territory,” Netflix’s Down Under answer to “Yellowstone,” has unveiled a trailer ahead of its online premiere on Oct. 24. The series, previously known as “Desert King,” is headed by Anna Torv, star of “Mindhunter” and “The Newsreader,” and Michael Dorman (“For All Mankind,” “Patriot”).

The show is created by Timothy Lee (“Mystery Road,” “Bump”) and Ben Davies (“Bondi Rescue,” “The First Inventors,” “Outback Ringer”) and has as its central premise an intense squabble for land.

An official synopsis reads: “When the world’s largest cattle station is left without a clear successor, generational clashes threaten to tear the mighty Lawson family apart. Sensing this once great dynasty is in decline, the outback’s most powerful factions – rival cattle barons, desert gangsters, Indigenous elders and billionaire miners – move in for the kill.”

The extensive supporting cast include: Robert Taylor (“Longmire,” “The Newsreader”), Sam Corlett (“Vikings: Valhalla,” “The Dry”), Sara Wiseman (“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” “High Country”), Dan Wyllie (“Love My Way,” “The Veil”), Clarence Ryan (“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” “Mystery Road Origin”), Jay Ryan (“IT Chapter Two,” “Scrublands”), Philippa Northeast (“The Newsreader,” “Limbo”), Joe Klocek (“My Lady Jane,” “The Dry”), Kylah Day (“Scrublands,” “Itch”), Sam Delich (“Spiderhead,” “Last Days of Space Age”), Hamilton Morris (“Sweet Country”), Tuuli Narkle (“Mystery Road: Origin,” “NCIS: Sydney”), Tyler Spencer (“The New Boy”) and Jake Ryan (“The Great Gatsby,” “Life After Fighting”).

Directed by Greg McLean (“La Brea,” “Wolf Creek”), the show is a joint production between Easy Tiger and Ronde. It is created by Tim Lee (“Mystery Road,” “Bump”) and Ben Davies; executive produced by Ben Davies (“Bondi Rescue,” “The First Inventors,” “Outback Ringer”), Rob Gibson and Ian Collie (“The Twelve,” “Jack Irish,” “Colin from Accounts”); produced by Paul Ranford (“Stateless,” “True History of the Kelly Gang”).

“Territory” was filmed across the Northern Territory and South Australia with support from Screen Territory and South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC). Specific locations include Tipperary Station, as well as the Kakadu National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site.
