Firefighters are battling an out-of-control industrial fire in Sydney’s south-west.
Emergency services were called to the building on Kaleski Street, Moorebank, about 2.10pm on Friday.
Flames were still engulfing the building at 3.10pm, with large plumes of smoke visible and road closures in place.
Twenty-six firetrucks and 100 firefighters are battling the blaze. Residents in nearby areas are advised to stay indoors and motorists to avoid the area.
The fire appears to have started behind windows and doors business, Prestige Plus.
Jessica Hiko and her son Casey, who live on nearby Swain Street, came outside after hearing sirens.
“It was probably the third fire engine that we came out to,” Jessica Hiko said. “It grew real fast. It’s scary.”
At 2.50pm, a loud bang came from the direction of the fire and the flames appeared to have reached the back of Prestige Plus.
