THOMASVILLE, Ala. (WKRG) — Thomasville Regional Medical Center is closed for the weekend due to staffing shortages, according to a Facebook post.
Thomasville Mayor Sheldon Allison Day posted on Facebook, “Due to staffing shortages, TRMC will suspend operations until further notice. All Community stakeholders will meet on Monday to assess the future of the hospital. Other local hospitals where patients can be seen are Grove Hill Memorial, J Paul Jones Hospital in Camden and Choctaw General in Butler.”

The Thomasville Regional Medical Center posted the same message on Facebook.
News 5 received a tip from a viewer that a sign was posted outside of the medical center’s emergency room reading, “ER CLOSED.”
The Clarke County Emergency Management Agency also posted on Facebook that the ER was closed.
