Abhishek Banerjee recently shared a humorous yet touching story about his first encounter with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. During the shooting of Section 84, Banerjee, like many admirers, touched Big B’s feet as a sign of respect. However, to his surprise, the veteran actor responded by scolding him, saying, “Don’t do this!” Abhishek, taken aback, was left wondering how to break the ice after the unexpected reaction. It was only when director Ribhu Dasgupta introduced them, mentioning that both actors had attended Kirori Mal College, that the tension eased.

Abhishek emphasized, “It is said that you should not imitate your heroes, but do something getting inspired by them,” explaining how Big B has influenced his craft without overshadowing his own identity as an actor.

He noted that there was always a sense of reverence in the air, with everyone on set respecting the superstar’s immense contribution to Indian cinema.
