Israel’s Iron Dome rocket-defense system knocked down rockets fired from Lebanon on Monday as it launched airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Israeli authorities have reported a series of air-raid sirens in northern Israel warning of incoming rocket fire from Lebanon. Hezbollah has promised to continue striking Israel in solidarity with Hamas.
