ITHACA, N.Y. (WETM) — An Ithaca man is facing charges for allegedly performing sexually explicit acts outside young women’s windows earlier this month.

Floyd G. Slater Jr., 32, was arrested after police searched his home. According to the Ithaca Police Department, IPD officers and New York State Troopers executed a search warrant on Slater’s Slaterville Road home on Sept. 19 following a joint investigation into two incidents that reportedly occurred in Ithaca two weeks prior.

Authorities say Slater allegedly performed lewd acts outside two college-aged women’s windows on University Avenue and Delaware Avenue on Sept. 5. The women, who didn’t know each other or Slater, made similar complaints at about 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. that night.

The Ithaca Police Department arrested and charged Slater with second-degree attempted burglary and exposure of a person. After he was processed at the Ithaca Police Department, Slater, who was on New York State Parole, was turned over to the New York State Police Department.

The New York State Police processed Slater on the charges of first-degree attempted sex abuse, third-degree menacing, and public lewdness. Slater was then arraigned in Tompkins County CAP Court and held without bail.

The Cornell University Police Department and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision assisted the Ithaca Police Department and the New York State Police Department with this investigation.

According to the Ithaca Police Department, law enforcement officials believe there may be other victims who haven’t reported similar crimes. Due to the nature of the crimes, and in the interest of community safety, police released a picture of Slater:
