LANCASTER CITY, Pa. (WHTM) — A teenager was hospitalized after a shooting occurred in Lancaster City last night.
According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, on Friday night at around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Almanac Avenue for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police say they found a 16-year-old boy who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Witnesses told police an argument escalated which led to two parties exchanging gunfire. No word on who was involved, at this time.
Police add that several residences and vehicles were also damaged due to the incident.
