ATLANTA – Cancelations of various events are expected ahead of the arrival of Tropical Storm Helene in Georgia this week. FOX 5 Atlanta is compiling a list of those cancelations and will add to it as they are received.

Clayton County

Clayton County Public Schools has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the Riverdale Early Learning Center scheduled for Wednesday has been POSTPONED due to anticipated inclement weather. The new date for the ceremony will be announced when it has been determined.

The Get Fit Expo scheduled for Sat., September 14, 2024, has been canceled. The event will be rescheduled for Sat., Nov. 9.
Fulton County

The Sept. 26, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony scheduled for the Fulton County Big Creek Reclamation Water Facility is being postponed due to the threat of severe weather. The ceremony, which was scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at 1030 Marietta Highway, will be rescheduled later.
