Although the next generation of gaming consoles aren’t here yet, Sony just announced the new PlayStation 5 Pro — a new console that boasts improved and detailed graphics, silky smooth motion for gaming and deeper immersion for all PS5 games.
Priced at $699.99, the Sony PS5 Pro is now available for pre-order with release on Friday, Nov. 7. At the moment, the only place where you can pre-order is at PlayStation Direct.
Additionally, the PS5 Pro will be available for pre-order at other retailers, like Target and Walmart, starting on Thursday, Oct. 10.
Designed for better performance, the new PS5 Pro — which comes with Sony’s PS DualSense Wireless Controller — has a higher refresh rate of up to 120Hz with 4K Ultra HD picture quality with enhanced AI-upscaling. With the standard PS5, you had to pick one: Either high refresh rate or 4K. However, with the PS5 Pro, you can pick both out-of-the-box. This means games move more fluidly with zero lag and Ultra HD video quality.

The new pro model also features advance ray tracing for in-game shadows, reflections and illuminations. This adds to improved graphics and realism, while it adds to deeper immersion to feel more true to life.
Best of all? All PS5 games work on the new PS5 Pro, including “Astro Bot,” “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,” “EA Sports College Football 25,” “The Last of Us, Part II,” “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” and more. In fact, the new gaming consoles has double the on-board storage capacity with 2TB instead of 1TB. It also has faster Wi-Fi connectivity for speedy game downloads, stronger cloud gaming and quick data transfers.
