CAMPTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Virginia man has been arrested after a semi-truck reportedly carrying a three-year-old passenger crashed into a newly renovated business in Campton on Thursday night.
According to the Wolfe County Sheriff’s Department (WCSD), deputies were dispatched on Thursday in response to a crash on Main Street in Campton.

Authorities said 50-year-old David Dugas of Virginia was driving down Main Street when he allegedly “collided with the building, causing major damage.”
Deputies said the sheriff’s department was assisted in the investigation by the Kentucky State Police Department (KSP) and the Wolfe County Volunteer Fire Department.
A three-year-old child and a woman were also reportedly found in the vehicle during the crash investigation, according to law enforcement. The child was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries before being released.

Dugas was lodged in the Three Forks Regional Jail on Thursday.
