A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to light a vehicle on fire with kids inside Friday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Napoleon Gray, the suspect, “tried to light a vehicle on fire with two children inside on North Houston Road,” in Warner Robins, deputies said on Instagram.
Gray then fled a traffic stop, leading deputies and Georgia State Patrol troopers on a vehicle pursuit into Macon. They chased Gray’s car until arriving at the sheriff’s office on Oglethorpe and 1st streets in Macon, where he was arrested around 1:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Christopher Williams. Officers of the Warner Robins Police Department took him back to Houston County.
The suspect faces charges of aggravated assault and attempted arson, according to the sheriff’s office.
