A 17-year-old girl has been accused of attempted murder in a Binghamton shooting.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 17-year-old on Tuesday who they said was wanted for attempted murder in connection with a recent Binghamton shooting. Her name has not been released and authorities did not indicate which shooting the arrest was related to.
According to a news release, the county sheriff’s warrant division and the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force tracked her to near Floral Avenue and Chelsea Square in Binghamton.

The Southern Tier SWAT team executed a search warrant at a house on Floral Avenue, then an arrest warrant at a different residence on Chelsea Square.
Authorities said she was turned over to the Binghamton Police Department without incident to be processed on an attempted murder charge, will be arraigned on the warrant for that charge and turned over to the custody of the county sheriff’s office.
