How People Are Helping Pets After Hurricane Helene

The SPCA of Wake County, in conjunction with The Bissell Foundation, are raising money. The SPCA are working hard to help route supplies to counties in need as well as take in more western NC shelter animals over the coming days/weeks. They have supply requests from McDowell, Mitchell, York and Gaston counties, among others. There are more requests coming in as relief efforts are moving along and assessing the damage. Right now transportation is the biggest challenge to getting the supplies into the areas that are cut off. You can make a donation to the SPCA of Wake County here.

The Humane Society of the United States has their Animal Rescue Team on the ground in Florida and Tennessee to help animals in communities hit hard following the deadly category 4 Hurricane. You can make a donation to help the Humane Society of the United States here.

The Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary is asking for help fostering.

If you are interested please shoot them a message, apply to foster online, or send  an email at [email protected]

Pet Connect Rescue is also looking for fosters to help.

If you are interested on fostering, you can sign up here.

You can also send donation to the American Red Cross.
