Yes, Amazon Prime Big Deal Days don’t start until next Tuesday, October 8. But you’ve probably noticed that big discounts on tech products are popping up early. We’ve been scouring all of the major stores to find the best deals all week, and in this Friday wrap-up, these five deals give you 35% or more off of products that we reviewed and loved. Take advantage of them while you can because they’re not guaranteed to last, and we’d expect to see stuff selling out quickly when Prime Day hits.
Much like candy bars, Amazon’s Echo smart speakers have been gradually decreasing in size since their introduction. This isn’t a rip-off, though, as they still pack all of the potent Alexa features you’ve come to love as well as surprisingly solid sound. In our review of the fifth-generation Echo Dot, we said that the unit was “a powerful voice assistant that lets you seek out sports scores, weather reports, and other useful information; set alarms and timers; search for and play music and audiobooks; control ; and make voice calls.” The sound isn’t spectacular, but for podcasts and the like it’s more than sufficient, and you’ll wonder how you ever got along without one.

Getting geared up to build a new computer? Here’s a really sweet discount on a processor that we said “delivers core-crushing power” in our review, comparing it exceptionally favorably to Intel CPUs in the same price bracket. The Ryzen 9 5950X is a 16-core processor that clocks up to 4.9GHz boost speed, with a 72 MB GameCache to optimize play sessions. Socket AM4 compatibility means it works in a wide variety of motherboards, and it runs cool enough that you don’t need a liquid system. It performed splendidly in our benchmarking tests and at 54% off it’s a steal.

Can you really call yourself a gamer if you don’t rock a mechanical keyboard? Of course you can, there are no rules, but it’s undeniable that having a high-end unit for your WASD and hotkeys can boost your performance and make you feel a lot cooler. In our review of the Logitech G915, we said it “sets a new benchmark in gaming keyboards” thanks to its lag-free wireless connection, smooth and responsive key movement, solid battery life and wide variety of programmable macros. The only thing we dinged it on was the price, which is why a 36% discount is so notable.

Sennheiser makes reliably high-quality audio products for both the consumer and professional market, and we had great things to say about their noise-cancelling Accentum True Wireless earbuds in our review. We praised the “high-quality companion app” that lets you shape the sound profile to your preference, as well as the remarkable ability the earbuds showed to filter out low-frequency noise in testing. The 7mm dynamic drivers deliver bright, crisp sound, and they’re IP54 rated for water and dust exposure, making them a solid pick for getting sweaty. 35% puts them in a very attractive price range.

It’s going to be package season soon, and if you’re getting a jump on holiday shopping or just taking advantage of Prime Big Deal Days, you should be a little nervous about bad folks swiping those smiling boxes off of your porch. That’s why a doorbell camera is a wise investment. With motion-triggered HD video, it’ll log visitors for your review whether they ring the bell or not. It captures 1,280-by-960-pixel video at 30fps, with a vertical 3:4 aspect ratio and 145-degree field of view. In our review, we said that it “couldn’t be easier to install” and praised its compatibility with Google Assistant.
