The chicken-based sandwich is exactly like the classic Big Mac, with all the same toppings, except instead of featuring two beef patties, customers can enjoy two tempura battered chicken patties, according to the news release.
Other than a short testing stint in Miami in 2022, the Chicken Big Mac has previously only been available at international locations, giving U.S. fans a lot to celebrate when thinking about getting their hands on one of the coveted sandwiches this month.
Food news aficionado Markie Devo shared the news on Instagram, getting users all hyped up about the restaurant’s latest arrival.
“I’ve been wanting this for YEARS😂😂😂” one user wrote under Devo’s post on Thursday, Oct. 3.
Someone else chimed in to say, “I can’t wait.”
News of the Chicken Big Mac’s arrival in the U.S. was first speculated over the summer, when another food news Instagram account, Snackolator, teased its return in August.
“This oughta be a good one!” one enthused fan wrote on Instagram at the time, while someone else added, “BIG YES!!!”
The Chicken Big Mac will be available at all McDonald’s locations starting on Thursday, Oct. 10, while supplies last.
