Family members told Nine News Raven loved cooking, loved shopping, loved socialising, and was a “very special and well-loved eight-year-old” they nicknamed “Turtle”.
Almost two dozen firefighters brought the fire under control just after 8am.
The smouldering remains of the unit were still too hot for investigators to gain access later on Sunday, meaning it could take investigators days to determine the cause of the fire.
“A crime scene has been declared and investigations are under way to determine the cause of the fire,” police said in a statement.
