It was another six-wicket win at the Dubai International Stadium as Deandra Dottin guided West Indies to its first win in the Womenâs T20 World Cup 2024 with a thumping win against debutant Scotland.
Earlier, Scotland skipper Kathryn Bryce won the toss and chose to bat first. However, the Windies bowling department, led by leg-break tweaker Afy Fletcher (3/22), restricted the Scots to a meagre total of 99.
Smashing knocks by Qiana Joseph (31 off 18 balls) and Dottin (28* off 15 balls) made sure West Indies opened its account in the tournament within 11.4 overs, despite clutch wickets by spinner Olivia Bell.
