BJP accuses Arvind Kejriwal of chief minister bunglow misuse, AAP dismisses claims – MASHAHER

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is set to move into the official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal vacated the bungalow last week. A war of words erupted between the BJP and AAP. The BJP alleged that Kejriwal had not formally vacated the property, a claim which AAP has denied.

Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Monday challenged Kejriwal, stating, “If he has nothing to hide, he should hand over the custody of the bungalow to the Public Works Secretary.”

Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of handing over the keys only for public display, then taking them back, sparking concerns of concealment. He demanded the Public Works Department (PWD) immediately take custody of the residence and have it videographed with police assistance.

In response, AAP clarified that the PWD had already handed over the keys to Chief Minister Atishi on Sunday, following all proper procedures. The party accused the BJP of making “baseless” claims to mislead the public.

The General Administration Department (GAD) issued a no-dues certificate confirming that Kejriwal had cleared all outstanding bills, including water, electricity, and phone charges. A PWD Junior Engineer issued a “vacation report” indicating that the property had been inspected, the inventory checked, and the keys officially handed to Atishi.
