ST. PAUL – Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin announced Saturday the team has reduced its training camp roster to 27.
The roster is technically 23 with four players on the injured list. Graeme Clarke is expected to be out for about a month. Goaltender Troy Grosenick is out for the season and both Luke Toporowski and Mikey Milne are still injured but once healthy will be sent to Iowa.
Minnesota placed Ben Jones on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the AHL and sent defenseman Daemon Hunt to the AHL.
As of Saturday, both Liam Ohgren and Jesper Wallstedt are still on the team and are expected to be on the opening night roster.
The Wild open the season on October 10th against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
