Mumbai is all set to vote today, as part of the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Arriving just in time to cast his vote is Salman Khan. The actor had taken off to Dubai over the weekend, but returned home early on Monday morning.
At the airport, Salman was spotted arriving amidst heavy security, following the recent threats that he has faced.Keeping up with his quirky pants trend, the actor sported a light denim featuring manga prints. He completed his OOTD with a black shirt and hat.
Previously, the actor had taken to social media, urging his fans to vote during the Lok Sabha elections 2024. “I exercise 365 days a year no matter what and now I’m going to exercise my right to vote on the 20th of May no matter what. So do whatever you want to do man, but go and vote and don’t trouble your Bharat Mata .. Bharat Mata ki Jai,” the actor had shared. While in Dubai, Salman Khan had visited Manish Malhotra’s flagship store.
Among the early voters were Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor among others. This year, Akshay Kumar cast his vote for the first time after receiving the Indian citizenship in 2023. In an ANI video, Akshay stated, “I want my India to be developed and strong. I voted keeping that in mind. India should vote for what they deem is right…I think voter turnout will be good.”
