Medical sector welcomes $32k payments for junior doctors training to be GPs in Coalition commitment – MASHAHER


Junior doctors undergoing community GP training would be offered about $32,500 in incentives under a Coalition government as part of a $400 million investment to alleviate shortages.

Peak bodies for doctors have welcomed the funding announced by Opposition Leader Peter Dutton, but say any cuts to the numbers of overseas skilled medical workers would send the health system backwards.
