PETALING JAYA: Footballer Faisal Halim could be discharged as early as this week.
The Harimau Malaya and Selangor winger underwent his final surgery on Monday morning (May 20) and will be observed for a few days by doctors before being discharged.
The news was shared by Selangor’s medical chief Dr Mohd Hazwan Khair who said the 26-year-old went through a ‘split skin grafting’ procedure to complete his treatment and would be allowed to leave the hospital in Shah Alam.
“After the surgery, we will have to wait 48 to 72 hours to see his condition. We hope that this will be his final surgery. His surgeon will decide on when to discharge him,” he said.

“Once his time in the hospital is over, he will undergo a rehabilitation process, which is called musculoskeletal rehabilitation. We know Faisal cannot wait to get back on the pitch but we will monitor him constantly.”
On May 5, Faisal suffered fourth degree burns after being splashed with acid by an unknown individual causing injury to his body at a shopping centre in Kota Damansara.
