Australia have decided to bring back Mitchell Starc and Ashton Agar into their lineup as they rested Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood for their final group stage clash of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Scotland on June 16, Sunday. The match is more important to the Scots as they need a win to qualify for the Super 8s. The team combination of the Aussies was the big talking point heading into the match.
Hazlewood and Matthew Wade had hinted there could be changes to the lineup for the match, with England keeping a close eye on the contest. The defending champions need a favour from their arch-rivals to qualify after winning against Namibia. Australia seem to be going with a strong team for the clash with just Cummins and Hazlewood rested. Starc has come back into the side after a rest against Namibia.
The left-arm pacer had a slight niggle and was given day off as Australia sealed their Super 8 spot with their third consecutive. Agar has come into the contest for his first match in this year’s competition.
