‘Resident Alien’ Renewed for Season 4 – MASHAHER

“Resident Alien” has been renewed for Season 4 by NBCUniversal. The series will also move from Syfy to USA Network.

The science fiction dramedy is based on the Dark House comics created by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. Season 3 averaged a total of 3.3 million viewers.

“Resident Alien” stars Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Elizabeth Bowen, Judah Prehn and Meredith Garretson.

According to the logline, the series “follows a crash-landed alien named Harry whose secret mission is to kill all humans. In season three, Harry vowed to work with General McCallister to rid the Earth of the Grey aliens, a task made more difficult when he discovered that the Grey Hybrid Joseph had taken a job in town as the new Deputy. In addition, Harry struggled to balance business and his personal life when he fell in love for the first time.”

Season 3’s ending shocked fans, as Harry’s plan to stop the Grey invasion landed him in captivity. Following him discovering the moon was just a Grey spaceship, Harry attempted to derail their strategy of transforming Earth’s atmosphere but instead, that led to him being captured in the process.

The “Resident Alien” TV series was adapted by executive producer Chris Sheridan, who is also the showrunner.

“Resident Alien” is produced by UCP, which is a division of Universal Studio Group, in connection with Amblin TV and Dark Horse Entertainment. Additional executive producers include Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank of Amblin TV and Nastaran Dibai.
