Jimmy Kimmel started his summer with the best ratings his late night show has seen in five months.
During the week of June 3, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” averaged a 0.21 rating among the key adults 18-49 demographic. This marks the ABC show’s highest since the week of Jan. 15, and a 31% increase from the 0.16 rating achieved the previous week. In total viewers, it averaged 1.7 million from June 3 to June 7.
After two weeks of consecutive growth, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” led the pack, ranking as the No. 1 late night talk show of the week in 18-49 rating. It was 31% ahead of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” which followed with a 0.16, and 62% ahead of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” which made a 0.13.
Scoring a 0.42, the highest-rated individual “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” telecast that week aired on June 6, when Kimmel hosted NBA legend Magic Johnson and comedian Jo Koy as guests with a musical performance from Doechii with JT. The episode rated 180% above Colbert’s 0.15 and 163% above Fallon’s 0.16 that night.
The week’s lineup also featured Albert Brooks, Rob Reiner and Ms. Pat with musical guest Gaby Moreno on June 3; Kamala Harris and Abby Elliott on June 4; Larry David and Cyndi Lauper with musical guest Feist on June 5; and Ke Huy Quan with musical guest Niki on June 7.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” premiered in 2003 and is ABC’s longest-running late night show ever. The series is produced by ABC Signature and Kimmelot.
