World No.1 Jannik Sinner captured his maiden grasscourt title by narrowly defeating his doubles partner Hubert Hurkacz 7-6(8) 7-6(2) in the final of the Halle Open on Sunday, June 23. This victory marks a significant milestone for the 22-year-old Italian star, who is also the reigning Australian Open champion, bringing his career singles title count to 14.
Hailing from Poland, Hurkacz had previously triumphed at the Halle Open in 2022. Both he and Sinner formed a strong partnership in the doubles competition in the same tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals.

Both competitors continued to hold their serves, driving the set into another tiebreak where Sinner once again emerged victorious, thus sealing the title.
