Popular actress Khushi Dubey, who recently made a return to television with Sony TV’s latest show Jubilee Talkies, took a trip down memory lane during an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama. In the interview, she recounted her early days in the entertainment industry, including her big-screen debut in Vikram Bhatt’s Ankahee.

Khushi Dubey Recalls Early Beginnings in Entertainment Industry
Khushi Dubey’s journey in the entertainment industry began with a stroke of luck. During the interview, she shared how her career took off thanks to a photoshoot for a billboard, arranged through a friend of her father. This initial exposure opened the door to her first major project, Vikram Bhatt’s Ankahee. In the film, she played the daughter of characters portrayed by Esha Deol and Aftab Shivdasani.
Khushi Dubey On Her Debut in Ankahee
Dubey fondly remembered the moment she was cast in Ankahee. “I remember, Vikram sir asked my mom, ‘Isko koi sapney aatey hai reincarnation ke? Because I think she is built for this field.’ Toh wahan se meri puri journey start hui thi,” she recalled. This opportunity marked the beginning of her promising career in the entertainment world.
Khushi Dubey Speaks On Embracing the Title of ‘Choti Naagin’
Khushi Dubey is widely recognized for her role as ‘Choti Naagin’, a character that resonated deeply with audiences. During the interview, she shared her thoughts on this iconic role. “I love it. I had gone at the last minute and Aruna ma’am ne mera audition liya and unhone bola, she is locked immediately. After my stint, I got famous by the name of ‘Choti Naagin,’” she explained.
Initially, Dubey’s role as ‘Choti Naagin’ was intended to be a cameo. However, the character’s popularity led to her role being extended for two years. She recalled how fans would call her ‘Choti Naagin’ even at the airport and how an Israeli fan once visited the set specifically to meet her and present her with gifts.
Speaking of Jubilee Talkies, the show started airing on Sony TV from June 24 onwards.
