HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) — A woman is accused of beating a man to death after he refused to pay her for performing a sex act on him on a Manhattan street Tuesday, according to the NYPD and sources.
Sabrina Charles, 39, allegedly beat the unidentified man with a piece of wooden furniture in front of 19 Hancock Place near 125th Street in Harlem at 4:25 p.m., police and sources said.
Charles allegedly hit the victim over the head repeatedly after she performed a sex act on him between two parked cars, sources said. Charles claimed the victim raped her before the fatal attack, sources said. She was taken to the hospital for examination.
Police said the woman and the victim, who knew each other, were allegedly doing drugs together at the time of the incident.
Charles, a Manhattan resident, was arrested and charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of stolen property, authorities said. Charles has prior arrests for drug possession and prostitution, police said.
Her arraignment was pending on Wednesday.
