Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor recently took to social media, sharing her experience and stunning outfit from the sangeet ceremony held at the NMACC in Mumbai.

Janhvi’s post went beyond just showcasing her attire. Her caption hinted at a personal connection to the chosen location, Jamnagar, a place where she “made some special memories.” The lehenga itself was a masterpiece by designer Manish Malhotra. The intricate peacock feather embroidery adorned the entire skirt. The shimmering embellishments on the blouse and the complementary dupatta in shades of blue and green added a touch of opulence. The choice of peacock feathers and the colour palette could be interpreted as a nod to the vibrant culture of Gujarat, where Jamnagar is situated.
Janhvi’s accessories further elevated her regal look. The opulent diamond necklace and unique earcuffs exuded a timeless elegance. Her makeup and hairstyle were carefully crafted to complement the ensemble, striking a balance between traditional Indian beauty and contemporary glamour.
The first few slides of her post offered a close-up view of the stunning lehenga, allowing viewers to appreciate the intricate details and craftsmanship. Subsequent slides provided a glimpse into the vibrant festivities. We see Janhvi enjoying the celebrations, dancing with others, and later even sporting a second outfit for further revelry. A group picture captures the camaraderie among the attendees, with Janhvi posing alongside her rumoured beau, Shikhar Pahariya, and other friends. Notably, the picture also includes Janhvi’s sister, Khushi, with her rumoured beau, Vedang Raina. One particularly heartwarming detail was the inclusion of a picture featuring Shikhar. He’s seen cutting the can-can of Janhvi’s lehenga for her to move freely while dancing.
She wrote, “For the last leg of celebrations I knew I wanted to wear things that have a personal meaning. Since so many of my most special memories have been in Jamnagar, in complete solitude from the world surrounded by nature and beauty and wildlife, and people I care about so deeply- we decided to take inspiration from there. Everywhere you look in Jamnagar, you will be greeted by a beautifully preening peacock or two, or three; or 10. Entering your lawns, fluttering their feathers, skipping across the roads, sometimes eating your breakfast. And so what started off as a peacock colored lehenga, ended up as a full on peacock feather skirt!! So in honor of DDC and PPC, in honor of the JAM WAGS- in honor of our Jam Mems ❤️ and most importantly in honor of Anant and @radhmerch1610 who always make us feel like their home is ours-a peacock lehenga executed to perfection by the genius @manishmalhotra05 and his most dedicated team of artists. M the details on this piece have left me speechless, thank you for making me feel special always. And special shout-out to @niharikavaggarwal for always giving in to my whims and fancies and annoying ideas ???? sorry had to cut the can-can off before the dance.”
