Brisbane edge Brendan Piakura is in doubt for his side’s Round 19 clash with the Dragons after suffering an ankle injury in Maroons camp.
Meanwhile, AJ Brimson has been named on the extended bench for the Titans’ clash against the out-of-form Parramatta Eels.
According to a club statement he will be given “every opportunity to prove his fitness” before the Saturday night clash.
The question that everyone has on their minds is if Brimson is ready to return from his groin injury where does he fit into this side, and what does the Titans spine look like.

Keano Kini has been impressive at fullback, while Jayden Campbell has been in fine form and returns from a hand injury after missing a single game.
To start the season, Des Hasler put Brimson in the centres, but that experiment failed and speaking on the Matty Johns show, the Titans star explained where he could feature.
“I started the year in the centres but Des told me after that he didn’t want to play me in the centres anymore,” he said.
“I play my best footy at fullback and I am a fullback but I’m happy to play six as well.”

Late mail: Brendan Piakura is in doubt for the Dragons clash after suffering an injury to his ankle at Maroons camp. According to News Corp, the edge injured his right ankle during an opposed session and was later seen with ice and heavy strapping on the air. While not officially ruled out just yet, with the NRL Physio stating on X the 22-year-old remains a chance to play this weekend if the injury is just a knock, as opposed to a true sprain. Already light on troops due to Origin and other injuries, Piakura’s absence could see Kobe Hetherington promoted to the starting side with either Vaa Semu or Israel Leota joining the bench for their NRL debuts.
