Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has shared a harrowing account of her recent health scare that led to her hospitalisation on July 18. The actress revealed that she was suffering from severe food poisoning, which escalated into a more serious condition that left doctors baffled.

Janhvi Kapoor’s Hectic Schedule
Janhvi Kapoor, while speaking to Times Now, admitted to having a hectic work schedule, which included back-to-back shoots and extensive travel. “I haven’t taken a break since the promotions of Mr & Mrs Mahi,” she confessed. “I was exhausted, and my immunity was very low.”
The actress detailed her ordeal, explaining how her condition rapidly deteriorated. “I went to Chennai for half a day, and I think I ate something funky at the airport,” she said. “Initially, we thought it was a stomach bug, but it wasn’t. My blood parameters were all over the place.”
Kapoor revealed that her liver enzymes were significantly elevated, causing alarm among doctors. “They were trying to figure out what was wrong with me and why my parameters were so off, which was quite scary,” she shared.
A Wake-Up Call For Janhvi Kapoor
Kapoor’s health scare has served as a stark reminder of the importance of prioritising self-care and rest. The actress admitted to feeling “completely handicapped and paralyzed” during her illness while speaking about the impact it had on her physical and mental well-being. She said, “I wasn’t able to go to the restroom on my own. I wasn’t in any condition to speak or walk or even eat. I think my body needed that rest that it got in the hospital.”
On the work front, Kapoor has a promising lineup of films, including Devara with Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan, Ulajh, RC16 with Ram Charan, and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Varun Dhawan.
