The Olympics are underway and women’s basketball group play is off to an entertaining start as countries vie for gold.
The sport hasn’t been particularly competitive at the Games over the years as Team USA is trying for an eighth straight Olympic gold. The Americans’ streak dates back to the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona.
Can anybody challenge their quadrennial dominance? Who will make it through the group stage to the knockout round? Olympic group play continues through Sunday, Aug. 4.
