MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Mississippi family is asking for the public’s help finding a missing loved one last seen at a Cordova gym.
Enid Griffin said her brother Adam Corley, 28, left Crunch Fitness on Germantown Parkway on July 5 and hasn’t been heard from since. Corley’s car was found parked in the lot not far from the gym.
Griffin said her brother, who was not working at the time and had been couch surfing, wasn’t reported missing until July 23.
“We really have just not heard from Adam. My mom had not heard from him since the fifth until our sister on July 23 sent us the Memphis flyer showing he was listed as a missing person,” said Griffin. “That’s when she told us they had towed his car, and it had been there since the fifth.”

Griffin said because her father reported her brother missing, they have not been able to get much information from the police and have been doing their own detective work.
She said they had been talking to Crunch Fitness members and passing out flyers to customers in the same shopping center. Griffin said Crunch employees told them Adam left the gym at around 7:30 a.m. on July 5 with another member but couldn’t provide his name.
“From what we were told at the gym, they only kept their video for one week. That’s why we want to talk to the police,” said Griffin.
Griffin said her brother has been battling mental illness and drug addiction for years and recently relapsed. She said he was not answering his phone or responding to text messages. Griffin said the family is trying to remain positive and wants to hear from Adam.

“My hope is that he is just somewhere mad at us, but my heart’s not telling me that,” said Griffin. My mother cannot believe she won’t even let herself fathom that he would not be back, and I’m panicked. I’m panicked for her, I’m panicked for me, and I’m panicked for my whole family.”
Griffin said her family hopes to get more answers when they meet with police on Wednesday. She said her brother has very distinctive tattoos and usually wears two earrings.
