MARTIN COUNTY — A search is underway for a Jupiter man whose boat was located 12 miles east of Hobe Sound.
Richard Ferazi departed Lake Worth Inlet at about 2 p.m. Thursday and has not been heard from since about 5 p.m. He was expected to arrive at 6 p.m. at Murelle Marine, a boatyard in Lantana, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Ferazi was going fishing in a 32-foot center console boat, Coast Guard officials said on X. The Coast Guard is searching for Ferazi by air and sea.
Anyone with information on Ferazi’s whereabouts is asked to call the U.S. Coast Guard in Miami at 305-535-4300 or 786-316-1074 or police at 772-545-0112.
