American great Katie Ledecky has claimed her fourth consecutive Olympic title in the 800m freestyle, defeating second-placed Ariarne Titmus in Paris.
Victory saw Ledecky draw level with former Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina’s with nine golds, the most for women in any Olympic sport.
Fellow American great Michael Phelps is the only other swimmer to win four Olympic golds in the same event.
