Miami Beach was hit by heavy rain and strong winds as Tropical Storm Debby moved closer to Florida on Sunday, August 4.
The National Hurricane Centre reported the storm was strengthening as it approached the coastline and was expected to intensify to a hurricane and make landfall at around midday on Monday.
Footage posted to X by @JPnMiami showed the canals surrounding Allison Island in Miami being lashed by intense winds on Sunday evening.
