The princess has not been seen on public engagement since Christmas Day, when she walked to Sandringham church with her family.
On Jan 16, she went into hospital for planned abdominal surgery, with a statement from the palace then saying she would be out of the public eye until “after Easter”.
She has since been recuperating at home, releasing a Mother’s Day photograph of her alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis which later turned out to have been digitally manipulated.
Conspiracy theories
There have been growing conspiracy theories about her whereabouts, ranging from the ridiculous to the troubling, repeated online and by overseas media.
The princess has been photographed being driven in Windsor twice since her operation.
In a picture published on March 4, she was a front-seat passenger in a car driven by her mother, Carole Middleton, near to her home.
She was also spotted sitting next to Prince William in a car last Monday when he attended the Commonwealth Day service in London and she was driven to a private appointment.

She is expected to resume engagements after Easter, taken to include her children’s school holidays which finish on April 17, subject to her health.
