NEW DELHI: Swashbuckling India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant on Saturday surprised fans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium when he came out to roll his arm over for Purani Delhi 6 in the Delhi Premier League opener against South Delhi Superstarz.
In a rare turn of events, Pant was seen bowling in professional cricket although he did bowl just one delivery.
With Superstarz needing just 1 run in the final over in their chase of 198, leg-spinner Pant came in to have some fun in the field.
However, he bowled a juicy full-toss straight-up which was easily pushed to long-on as Superstarz won the opener by 3 wickets and 5 balls to spare.

Leading Purani Delhi 6, Pant scored 35 off 32 alongside Arpit Rana’s 41-ball 59 and Vansh Bedi’s unbeaten 19-ball 47 to lift their side to 197 for 3.
