Sonam Khan, who is best known for films like Vijay and Tridev, seems to be keen on making a comeback to the Indian Entertainment Industry. Having married producer-filmmaker Rajiv Rai, the actress was away from the glitzy glam world for many years and now that she is back, she has been enjoying the new phase of Bollywood and at the same time, she is also nostalgic about how the 90s Hindi film industry was like. Recalling one such memory, Sonam Khan opened up about her bond with the late Divya Bharti.

For the unversed, Sonam Khan shared a great bond with her Vishwatma co-star Divya Bharti. The actress, in a recent interview, asserted that her friendship with her was a rare gem of the 90s which she truly treasured and wishing well for her even today, Khan asserted that Divya had the potential to be one of the Bollywood queens. “She used to tell me to look at the moon, saying that I would have a beautiful baby just like me. She was an actress with whom I had a great bond, and wherever she is, I hope she is happy. What more can I say?,” Sonam was quoted telling to Bollywood Bubble.
Further, opening up about how things would have been different if Bharati was still there, Khan added, “She was a very nice girl. Had she been alive today, she would have been at the top. It’s heartbreaking, the accident that happened to her; it shouldn’t have happened, but what can we do now?” In the same interaction, Khan also expressed her heartbreak over her untimely demise and confessed about how she was a great choice for Mohra.
While the original 1994 action drama featured Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, Khan revealed that her husband Rajiv Rai had cast Divya Bharati for the female lead but due to her death, Raveena Tandon decided to feature in it. Not just her, but many producers and filmmakers were left in a limbo when the actress was allegedly found dead after jumping off her building. While some films were shelved indefinitely, a few others ended up replacing their cast.
