“Owning Manhattan” has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix.

The series, which follows “Million Dollar Listing: New York” alum Ryan Serhant and the inner workings of this realty company Serhant, finished airing its first season about a month ago.

In a statement to Variety, Serhant said, “It’s a lot to take in — it’s a global hit. ‘Owning Manhattan’ is unlike anything else on TV, we basically invented a new format. I’m ecstatic, but it’s also overwhelming, in a good way. I can’t wait for what’s to come.”

Series executive producers and World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato said, “We are thrilled with the news that our partners and friends at Netflix are moving forward with a Season 2 of ‘Owning Manhattan.’ Ryan Serhant and the entire cast and production team put their souls into making an unforgettable series that combines compelling business, extraordinary production values and endless heart.”

“Owning Manhattan” Season 1 spent one week in the Global Top 10 TV (English) and reached the Top 10 TV programs in 30 countries. In its first week on Netflix, the show was viewed more than 512 million minutes.

The show prides itself on focusing more on the real-time listing, sales and even losses of New York’s prime real-estate business.

Serhant teased that the cast of realtors will return for Season 2, saying, “Tricia Lee and Jess Markowski’s backstories are a lot. Nile and what he has gone through — we didn’t have time in Season 1 to really dig through.”

Barbato added, “I can’t wait for people to get to know this team even more. We’re going to need more than eight episodes.”

In the first episode of the series, Serhant expressed his goal of building his company into the top brokerage in the world, and he has an ever-expanding army of agents to help him get there.

The jewel of his listings was the Central Park Tower Penthouse. The 17,500-square-foot space included a massive outdoor terrace — the world’s highest outdoor space. Its asking price at the time was $250 million. As seen on the show, Serhant came close to a potential buyer snapping it up, but the deal fell through. He went on to recruit his top agents to help with the job. The second season will hopefully delve deeper into the drama of whether the apartment sold.

Another property viewers were interested in was the Jardim penthouse in Chelsea. It hadn’t sold by the end of the first season, but it did sell shortly after the show debuted for $15 million. Perhaps the new season will provide insight into that sale.

“Owning Manhattan” Season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
