A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officer is a hero after helping save a 2-year-old who was shot. The gunshots were heard by Officer Walter Umland during a traffic stop. After entering the residence and helping the baby, Officer Umland chose not to wait for EMS. Instead, he had another officer rush him to a hospital so the baby could get the quickest care possible. The officer was later honored with a life-saving medal. Inside Edition Digital has more.
