Gersh has announced the launch of Gersh Gives, a new initiative under which the agency’s philanthropic work will be strategically united.
Gersh Gives is a comprehensive philanthropic initiative, supporting high-impact nonprofit organizations that drive meaningful and sustainable social change. By fostering collaboration and strategic partnerships, Gersh Gives will amplify their efforts to build a more equitable future in the wider entertainment industry.
Gersh Gives is led by the agency’s head of culture Jayson Council. “Gersh Gives is a wonderful opportunity for our agency to unleash the power of giving with intent through the lenses of representation, respect, and repair. I’m honored and thrilled to shepherd this special initiative,” he said of the new initiative.
“Philanthropic partnerships have been a rewarding part of the work of our agency for many years, and something Jayson has been instrumental in strengthening since joining the company,” said Gersh co–presidents David Gersh, Bob Gersh and Leslie Siebert in a joint statement. “By strategically uniting our philanthropic work under one banner, Gersh can create more meaningful collaborations, amplify the work of our nonprofit partners, and ensure our efforts are as transformative as possible.”
Gersh has undertaken a menagerie of philanthropic initiatives with partners for many years, including Every Mother Counts, The Doe Fund, Posse Foundation, FC Harlem, LA Food Bank and NY Common Pantry, as part of its ongoing commitment to support its community.
2024 has marked a year of considerable growth for the agency, with buzzy signings including Zach Woods, Elsa Majimbo, Jess Hong and Thomas Doherty.
