Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills had absolutely no issue crushing the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night.
Allen and the Bills cruised to a dominant 47-10 win in the first of two “Monday Night Football” games while making a massive statement at Highmark Stadium. The Bills are now 3-0 on the year while Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars are still winless.
Allen threw for 263 yards and four touchdowns in the win while also leading the team with 44 yards on the ground. Lawrence, on the other hand, threw for just 178 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He was eventually replaced by Mac Jones late in the blowout. Damar Hamlin recorded his first career interception in the win for the Bills, too.
The other game in ESPN’s doubleheader was a thriller in Cincinnati. Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders fended off Joe Burrow and the Bengals 38-33. Daniels threw his first career touchdown pass — which was remarkably to an offensive lineman — and got the Commanders to 2-1 on the year. Burrow and the Bengals, however, are now 0-3 for the first time since 2019.
Burrow hit Ja’Marr Chase for a pair of touchdowns, but their defense just couldn’t stop Daniels and the Commanders. Daniels went a near-perfect 21-of-23 for 254 yards while throwing two touchdowns and running in a third. His final score of the night was a perfectly placed ball in the corner of the end zone for Terry McLaurin, which sealed their win.
Burrow went 29-of-39 for 324 yards with three touchdowns in the loss for Cincinnati.
