The Delhi Traffic Police have issued an advisory ahead of the upcoming INDIA bloc rally, which is being held in protest against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, scheduled at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday (March 31).
The traffic police advisory stated that traffic rules and restrictions will be in place during the event, which is expected to be held from 9 am to 3 pm. Areas like Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Vivekanand Marg, JLN Marg, and Chaman Lal Marg will experience regulated or potentially restricted traffic movement.
Rajghat Chowk, Minto Road, and other nearby areas will see significant diversions in place during the event.
To get rid of traffic congestion, citizens have been advised to use public transportation, particularly Metro services. The Traffic Police also mentioned that car parking will be limited at Hamdard Chowk and buses won’t operate on JLN Marg.
Designated parking areas have been arranged along Raj Ghat Power House road and Velodrome Road to accommodate buses and cars.
For regular commuters, especially those heading to traffic hubs like ISBT, Railway Station, or Airport, are urged to anticipate delays and plan their commute accordingly to avoid inconvenience on the event day, said the traffic advisory.
