Balogun scores twice as Monaco thrash Metz to go second – MASHAHER

Falorin Balogun scored twice in a 5-2 win for Monaco at struggling Metz, taking the Principality club second in Ligue 1.

Monaco scored three times in 16 minutes early through Tukumi Minamino, Maghnes Akliouche and Vanderson to silence the home fans.

After Balogun’s first Papa Amadou Diallo and Ibou Sane reduced the deficit before the US striker completed Monaco’s emphatic win.

Monaco are two points above Brest, who play at Lorient on Sunday, and ten behind Paris Saint-Germain who meet bitter rivals Marseille.

Metz remained in the relegation zone in 17th place.
